This is the best themed attraction I have ever been on. It surpasses all other classics such as "Indiana Jones Adventure" and "The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror", and sets a new level for Disney rides. Using an innotative ride design, Disney has created a masterpiece. From the moment you step into the volcano, you're immersed in a level of realism. The water drips above you, lights flicker, the volcano shakes from time to time, and lava flows from the walls. Even the floor and walls look cracked like volcano rock. There are tons of details such as the brass machines used for the Fastpass which all look aged. The excellent details continue in the queue, such as paintings, Captain Nemo's study, and especially during the "Terravators", elevators which carry you deep into the base camp. Once you're there, you see giant bellows pumping in fresh air. This part of the queue is very realistic and full of details. This part of the queue eventually leads to the ride vehicles which look like cars with giant shovels in front. The ride itself is fantastic, and can't be compared to anything else. It really feels like you're going down into the Earth's core. I won't spoil anything for you, but I can safely say this is the best ride I've ever been on. From the phenomenal descent into the Earth to the thrilling finale out of Mt. Prometheus, it's sheer perfection. For those who do want to know what the ride is like, look down.
***SPOILERS***
Once you get into the ride vehicles, you cruise into the giant crystal caverns. Every crystal shines and glitters as you pass it. The music here is awe-ispiring and adds to the feeling of amazement. As you descend further, you enter a giant mushroom forest full of mysterious creatures. Each creature moves and makes a unique sound. Everything you see is different and is nothing like what you can imagine. After the mushroom forest, an emergency occurs. An earthquake makes the intended path collapse and shakes us off course into a different path. We continue descending and pass by a subterranean sea. Lighting flashes in the background and you can hear the thunder. This entire area looks very real and huge. Lighting strikes our path and we veer into another chamber. We see eggs all over the walls and as we continue on, we hear a creature growling. A ball of fire erupts on our side and we turn the corner to see a gigantic magma creature. This is one of the largest and most advanced Audio-Animatronics ever and is truly a work of art. He roars and lunges at us, but suddenly the volcano erupts and sends us accelerating. We speed up to 46 mph, and go up in a spiral. We contiue spiraling until we see an entrance up ahead. We shoot through the smoke filled tunnel and down into a terrifying plunge down the side of the volcano into darkness. This drop is very sudden and steep. Since you are entering at such a high speed, there is tons of airtime. It can be compared to Splash Mountain in terms of thrill and airtime. Once we've reached the bottom, we continue whipping around the caldera in a huge banked turn. We enter into bridge which offers us a view into Mysterious Island and speed along into darkness again. We reach the excellently themed station and Captain Nemo congratulates us on a journey well done. This ride is simply astounding!

Journey to the Center of the Earth was fantastic! It combines great theming, a great storyline, and thrills all into one. This is Disney's best work and surpasses all other rides. It wins for best themed ride as well. Surprisingly, this ride has a big drop which delivers quite a thrill. This is by far the best and most thrilling ride at DisneySea.

When I went on this ride, I was shocked. Everything was well themed and very realistic. It was hands down the best ride I've ever been on. The sets were all perfectly executed and the climax was very exciting. The queue area was the best one I've ever seen. It even beats Indy's queue over at Disneyland in California. There are details everywhere and adds to the experience. This is the best Disney ride ever, and I wish we had it here.

This is the best ride in all of Tokyo Disney Resort. It's even better than "Pooh's Hunny Hunt". You won't believe the amount of detail and time put into this ride. It's housed in a massive volcano, and the queue even has an elevator to take you to the core. The vehicles are amazing as well and are very smooth. Journey to the Center of the Earth has a height restriction of 46 inches so not all children will be able to ride. There is a fairly big drop at the end so beware if you do not enjoy the sense of weightlessness.

Don't miss this ride! Just like the DisneySea park itself, this ride goes beyond anything Disney has ever done before in terms of theming, fun and excitment. It makes Test Track at Epcot (which uses the same technology) seem very lame.
